Creating That Work-Life Balance.

It’s been a very productive day at work! I am so close to finishing a paper I have been working on. Next up, making the presentation and prepping! Not taking my work home with me has been hard, but necessary. I find myself more productive during the actual work day. My sleep schedule is still very, very off, but I am confident I can get that back on track eventually.

Getting back to Chinese was great! I remembered way more than I thought I did, and I was able to move forward with lessons as though there wasn’t a long break.

I am very excited for the weekend. I am hoping to get a lot of writing and studying done. I know for sure I will be visiting some coffeeshops and also seeing The Farewell. I love seeing Chinese representation on the big screen!

Yes, I now have a new personal laptop. Splitting up my work computer and personal computer was the best decision I could have made. No more distractions on either. Plus, my work computer was almost out of space from storing so much data on top of my extracurricular stuff. If you have the budget for it, I’d recommend. I don’t need a fully spec’ed out laptop for my personal needs, so I found a refurbished base model that is way more portable and better suited to my blogging/writing/Chinese needs.

What’s the plan for the rest of the night? Continue making Chinese flashcards (pro tip… Anki is well worth the investment for flashcards and spaced repetition studying) and then a delicious dinner. Lastly, rewatching Stranger Things because my wonderful friend still has not caught up. In fact, they are only in the beginning of season 2. Don’t worry, I am setting them on the right path.

Until next time…
