I’m just your average adoptee graduate student trying to figure out life.
For a while, I was trying to remain completely anonymous on this blog. Part of that came from shame and guilt when talking about mental health.
Some of you may have found me from my super-not-anonymous YouTube video series. I share a lot about my journey as an adopted person there and wanted a separate place to delve into my other interests (e.g. mental health, books, and science).
When life gets too hectic, I write. I write anything. I have a completed memoir draft. Lately, I’ve been writing a fictional novella based on events in my life. My computer has been filling up with excerpts and chapters. Most have never been read.
That’s what this blog is for. Perhaps, everything will remain unread by anyone but me. This is a start. It’s a small step because I’m terrified, but it’s putting my words out there in a place other than a sad folder on my desktop.
